![]() ![]() In Doom the CPU reaches around 75C and core utilisation then rockets to 20000% making me think thermal throttling is kicking in. In pifast I let it cook for an hour with a blended test on 4GHz and it reached 90C before the system froze. The i5-760 CPU on the other hand is a different story. I'm interested to see if I can push this further with some voltage increase. I can get to 1293MHz on the core clock stable in Heaven benchmark on the Asus GTX 670 without touching the voltage and maxing at around 65C (it was a warm day too but unfortunately I didn't get a Delta T). Last fortnight I put the water cooling loop to the test and tried finding some maximums. I'm trying to fumble through this based on online reading and watching YouTube videos but without a working reference point I'm having to contend with a range of issues that I need to try and sort out with trial and error.Īnyway, the next step will be to sand back these additional coats and hopefully smooth out any of the roughness I added in today's first spray attempt. If anyone is looking to get in to spray guns I think having access to a knowledgable person who has a working setup would be the best way to start learning so that you can get a feel for how the setup should work. With this filter assembly installed at the gun I was having to turn the pressure up to 110PSI+ to see any proper atomisation! Admittedly it could be a combination of the filter and the nitto fittings that are dropping the pressure by 80PSI so this week I'll just buy a regulator, a simpler disposable filter that shouldn't be so tough on pressure and some male-maie threaded fittings to join the pieces to the gun to reduce the total number of nitto fittings in the line. ![]() After some experimentation I finally decided to ditch the air filter as a final measure and wow, what a positive difference that made! It finally started spraying like an aerosol spray at 40PSI! Once again the the paint initially came out either too light, too splotchy or just plain wrong. I had hoped to get another smaller air pressure regulator for the spray gun end for better results but none of my local shops had them in-stock so I thought I could get by without it again. That was me trying to get the settings right again. ![]()
